Additional Australian op-shop clothing research

Checked 6 November 2026. Return to the guide.

Pre-owned condition codes 2990, 3000 and 3010; item location Australia; Clothing, Shoes & Accessories category. Sold window: 9 August–6 November inclusive. One sold page for Country Road, two for Gorman; two active pages for Country Road, four for Gorman. Distinct item numbers per side. Counts use dated sold badges, except the explicitly seller-ended Gorman listing 267823891611 was removed after item-page inspection. The other counts are title-screened listing observations, not individually verified transactions.

Titles must explicitly contain the brand, linen/cotton and a garment word. Country Road words: pant(s), trouser(s), culotte(s), jogger(s); Gorman words: top, shirt, blouse, tee, tank, singlet, polo. We excluded titles containing new/NWT/BNWT/NWOT, sets and bundles; Country Road also excludes Trenery, shorts and jumpsuits. Gorman excludes dresses, two-item bundles, scrub uniforms, shackets, sweatshirts, jumpers, cardigans and identifiable Playground/children’s titles. This conservative title rule can omit used items described as like new, and genuine garments with incomplete titles. Active cards without an explicit Pre-owned label were removed, which also removes recommendation cards outside the primary search. Results are not a census of every garment of that fabric.

Price sample selection: first eight screened recent sold cards per group with no offer/coupon wording; two Gorman cards marked “read” skipped. Item pages inspected for all 16 candidates; the seller-ended Gorman candidate excluded, leaving eight and seven usable prices. Accepted offers are excluded. Separately itemised buyer fees are subtracted; no fee is inferred where none is itemised. Postage excluded. Prices are small convenience samples across cuts and sizes, not population medians.
