When does the cheapest Pro plan change?

These ranges keep your average order total and category mix the same as volume changes. They are not the sales limits of a plan.

Lowest-cost eligible Pro plan at each volume. At an exact boundary, the neighbouring plans cost the same.

  1. Pro StarterFrom $0 to $5,251.59 in monthly sales
  2. Pro FeaturedAbove approximately $5,251.59 to $79,166.67 in monthly sales

How the estimate works

Subscription + sales fees + order fees

For each Pro plan, the calculator multiplies your monthly sales by the category rate, adds the fixed fee for each order, then adds the subscription. For mixed stock, it weights the rates by your share of sales dollars.

A break-even point divides the extra subscription by the saving per sales dollar, including the difference in fixed order fees at your average order value. The tool then compares all plans to find which is cheapest overall.

Free Selling is a separate eligibility choice. We do not multiply one month's sales by twelve to decide whether your account qualifies.

What is outside this estimate?

Items over A$4,000, NFTs, Services, vehicle listings, eBay Live, international sales and currency conversion, advertisements, optional listing upgrades, excess listing fees, performance surcharges, refunds and account-specific promotions. It also excludes stock, packing and postage costs, tax credits and any change in buyer demand.

For single-item margin, try the eBay and Depop fee calculator. For the subscription decision, read our eBay plan break-even guide.

eBay plan calculator questions

What does this eBay plan calculator include?

It estimates the monthly subscription, category-based final value fees and fixed order fees for Australian domestic sales on eBay.com.au. All fees include GST. It covers standard categories and items whose total sale amount is no more than A$4,000 each.

Is eBay Free Selling the same as Pro Starter?

No. Pro Starter has no monthly subscription but charges transaction fees. Eligible Free Selling has no standard domestic seller transaction fee. Eligibility depends on an Australian registration address, no Pro plan and no more than A$25,000 in sales over the preceding 12 full calendar months.

How does the calculator handle several categories?

Choose Mixed categories and enter each tier’s share of your sales dollars, including postage and applicable tax. The shares must add up to 100%. The calculation weights category rates by revenue, not by the number of items.

Why is Basic sometimes skipped?

A plan can beat Starter at one sales volume while Featured is already cheaper than both. The break-even ranges compare all eligible Pro plans together, so they can skip a plan that is never cheapest on the entered assumptions.
