The short version
Listalong only aims to collect and use the information needed to run the website, authenticate users, connect marketplace accounts, cross-list and synchronise listings, provide support and understand how the service is used.
We do not sell personal information or listing data to advertisers or data brokers. The sections below provide the full detail, including the services that help operate Listalong and how to make a privacy request.
Account, technical, marketplace and order information.
Creator referrals
If you follow a creator referral link, we may remember its code in this website’s browser storage for up to 60 days and pass it to signup. The app uses a signed referral cookie, also lasting up to 60 days, to attribute a new account. Clearing browser storage or cookies can prevent attribution. Once you sign up, the referral is stored with your account so we can track subscriptions and calculate recurring creator commission. These records are available to Listalong’s authorised administrators; this feature does not give creators access to your email or store information.
Affiliate accounts and payouts
If you apply to become an affiliate, we collect your email, creator or business name, channel link, programme-rule acceptance and application history. We use these to verify your account, review your application and manage commissions. Affiliate dashboards show aggregate referral results rather than customers’ identities. Payout account details are sent to Wise when that service is enabled; Listalong retains a recipient reference, an account label and the last four account digits, together with payout and review records. Do not enter real bank details into a sandbox or demonstration form.
Google account sign-in
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides Listalong and our authentication provider, Supabase, with your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier. We use this information solely to create and authenticate your Listalong account and to pre-fill your name during account setup.
Listalong requests only the basic email,
profile and openid scopes required for
Google sign-in. We do not request or receive access to Gmail,
Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service, and
Listalong cannot post anything to your Google account.
This information is processed by Supabase and our infrastructure providers only as needed to operate Listalong. It is never sold or rented and is not used for advertising. You can disconnect Listalong through Google Account permissions. Disconnecting prevents future Google sign-in but does not automatically delete your Listalong account or information. To request deletion, contact us using the address in this policy.
Account, contact and previous access-request information
If you create an account, contact us or previously requested product access, we may collect your email address, your name if you provide it, and information you choose to include in messages sent to us.
Website and technical information
When you visit the website or use the app, we may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, approximate location derived from network information, logs and timestamps.
Marketplace account connections
When you connect marketplace accounts, we may store connection tokens or authentication details required to maintain the connection, marketplace account identifiers, configuration settings and automation rules.
Authentication information is protected using appropriate technical controls, including encryption where supported by the hosting and database services we use.
Browser extension
The optional Listalong Connector browser extension connects your chosen marketplace accounts to Listalong for crosslisting and linked-stock syncing. You sign in to each marketplace yourself. The extension does not read or store your marketplace passwords.
For Depop, it reads the authentication and refresh tokens your browser uses for Depop, together with the shop name and account identifier. It sends the connection information to Listalong over HTTPS with your Listalong connection key, so the service can maintain that connection and perform your selected listing actions.
Facebook access is optional. When you choose Connect, the extension requests permission to run its bundled code on Facebook and read the account-ID cookies named c_user and i_user. It checks these identifiers locally and asks you to confirm the displayed Facebook account. Your confirmed public account identifier and display name are sent to Listalong to associate listings and connection status with that account. Facebook passwords, session tokens, messages and payment details are not read or sent to Listalong.
When you choose Facebook and press Crosslist, the extension uses the selected listing's title, description, price, category, condition and photos to fill and publish a Facebook Marketplace listing. It downloads listing photos from the supported eBay and Depop image services. It returns the resulting listing link to Listalong and checks linked listings for available, pending and sold status while the browser is running. A Facebook pending or sold status can remove the matching eBay and Depop listings; a verified sale on those marketplaces can mark the linked Facebook listing sold. Messages and pickup arrangements stay on Facebook.
The extension handles the relevant marketplace page content, listing links, account identifiers and connection activity needed for these features. It does not request access to your general browsing history or inspect unrelated websites. Connection keys, account bindings and unfinished jobs are stored in browser extension storage. You can disconnect eBay or Depop in Listalong, revoke optional Facebook permissions in your browser, or remove the extension to stop its browser access. Removing the extension does not itself delete listings or data already held by Listalong or a marketplace.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Listalong Connector's use of information received through the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
We use data accessed by the extension solely to provide its single purpose: connecting your chosen marketplaces to Listalong for crosslisting and linked-stock syncing. We do not transfer this data to others except as needed to provide that purpose, to comply with law or to protect against abuse. We never use it for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent or for security.
Listing and order information
To provide the service, we may store listing titles and descriptions, photos, prices, inventory information, order information and tracking information.
Payment information
If you start a paid plan, payment details are handled by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on Listalong systems. We may store billing status, plan, renewal, cancellation and invoice information needed to manage your subscription.
To operate, support and protect the service.
We use information to operate the website and app, synchronise listings between marketplaces, help prevent duplicate sales, deliver tracking information, send account and service notifications, improve the product, protect the service from misuse and provide customer support.
We do not sell your personal information or listing data to advertisers or data brokers.
Service messages, optional updates and website measurement.
Marketing emails
If you create an account or previously requested product updates, we may send product updates, service updates and service announcements. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. We may still send transactional or service-critical messages, such as account, security, billing or connection-expiry notices.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to understand website usage, traffic sources and how visitors interact with pages and links. This may include page visits, approximate location, device and browser information, and interaction events. If you allow analytics, we also measure account creation, connecting both stores, trial activation and successful subscription payments. Payment events include the amount, currency and an invoice identifier, never your card details. We associate these events with a browser analytics identifier, not your name, email address or marketplace credentials. We link Google Analytics to Google Ads to measure campaign results, without enabling personalised advertising.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to be privacy-friendly and does not use cross-site advertising trackers. Google Analytics runs only when you choose “Allow analytics”. Your choice applies across our website and app and is remembered for up to 180 days. You can change it using “Analytics settings” on either site. Declining analytics does not affect your account, trial or subscription. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain disabled.
Google may process Analytics information outside Australia. You can read Google's Privacy Policy or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Photos, AI assistance and your listing account.
Photos and Listalong AI
Snap stores captured or selected photos and your edits on your device. When you allow AI processing and request a listing, it sends the item photos, private note photos, QR text and seller notes you choose to Listalong's servers and OpenAI to help identify the item and prepare listing suggestions. Private notes and QR photos can still be processed by AI; they are excluded from the public listing photos. A box code can be recorded in the eBay SKU when you publish.
If Listalong AI cannot identify an item's model from the photos, Snap may send one of the item photos to Google Cloud Vision, a Google image search service, to find matching products online. Only item photos are used for this, never private note or QR photos. Snap receives the titles of matching web pages, which help the AI suggest the model, and keeps them with your draft. Google may process the photo outside Australia.
You can turn off future AI processing in Snap's settings. This cannot recall a request already sent. Only include information needed for the item. Review suggestions before publishing. OpenAI and Google process submitted information under their applicable service terms and retention settings; deleting a local photo does not immediately remove every provider copy.
Accounts, purchases and notifications
Supabase supports account authentication and storage. If you use Apple or Google sign-in, we receive the account identifiers and email information you authorise, which may include an Apple private relay address. We keep the credentials needed to maintain or revoke your connection securely on our servers. Connecting eBay provides the seller information, policies and item location needed for listings; Snap does not require your phone's GPS location for this.
Apple or Google Play handles in-app payments, depending on your device. Listalong records product and transaction identifiers, account ownership, credit changes and refund status to verify purchases and maintain your balance; Snap does not receive your full payment-card details. If you enable listing notifications, we use a device push token and delivery services including Expo and Apple to send updates. You can turn these notifications off in settings.
Optional tips and reminders
Snap records limited activity, such as your first and recent sign-ins and whether listings are waiting for review. If you opt in to product emails, we use this activity with your account identity and email address to choose relevant welcome messages, tips and reminders. These messages do not include your item photos, titles or private notes. You can turn product emails off in Snap's settings or unsubscribe from an email; this preference is shared with your Listalong account. Requested emails and essential account, security or billing messages are separate.
Storage, diagnostics and deletion
Fly.io hosts the listing service. Uploaded photo copies are temporary and are cleaned up after the configured retention period, while active work may keep them longer until it completes. Listing drafts, publication records and credit history are stored separately. Published photos and listings also remain with eBay under its policies. Freeing local storage does not delete your phone's photo library or end an eBay listing.
Sentry receives filtered crash and error diagnostics to help us fix faults. Snap's reporting is configured to exclude listing photos, private notes, account emails, authentication tokens, screenshots and session recordings. Service providers may also process technical connection information to deliver and protect their services.
Snap's account settings include a deletion request. Snap and Listalong share an account, so deletion affects both services. Some deletion steps may wait for a connected service to respond. We retain limited purchase, security and deletion records where needed to prevent duplicate credits or account recreation, meet legal obligations and handle disputes. A protected record of free-credit eligibility is retained so reconnecting or deleting an account does not claim the same eBay offer again. Account deletion does not automatically remove listings already published to eBay.
You can also request account deletion without the app. For account or privacy help, contact support@listalong.com.au. This section describes Snap's release features; availability depends on the app version and whether you are using an invited test release.

Third-party providers
We may use third-party service providers to operate the website and app, including providers for hosting, analytics, email delivery, database storage, error monitoring and payment processing.
Disclosure and overseas processing
We may disclose information to service providers who help us operate Listalong, to marketplace platforms you choose to connect, to payment processors, to professional advisers, or where required by law.
Some providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and protect information consistently with this policy.
Kept as needed, with reasonable safeguards.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We may retain limited records after deletion where reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, legal, accounting, dispute-resolution or backup purposes.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Access, correction, deletion and complaints.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request. If we cannot complete a request, we will explain why where reasonably possible.
Privacy complaints
If you have a privacy concern, contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Please include enough detail for us to understand the issue. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Children
Listalong is intended for people running or managing resale businesses. It is not directed to children.
Australian users
We take reasonable steps to handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
