eBay can show discounted postage rates for calculated postage and can upload tracking when you buy the label through eBay.
Compact, lightweight items may be cheaper in own packaging. Larger parcels can be charged at cubic weight, while heavier items that fit eligible flat-rate packaging may benefit from size-based pricing.
A low item price with high postage can feel worse to buyers than a slightly higher item price with clearer postage.

Which Australia Post band should I choose?
Choose the MyPost Business band that matches your recent Australia Post spend. Band 0 is standard retail pricing, while Bands 1 to 5 reflect increasing MyPost Business volume discounts.
Why should eBay sellers compare postage before listing?
Postage affects both profit and conversion. If the buyer pays less postage than the label and packaging cost, the difference comes out of your margin.
Does this include eBay or Depop marketplace fees?

Can I use an Australia Post satchel with own packaging?
Check whether the satchel is prepaid or postage-not-paid. A prepaid satchel already includes postage, so do not buy a second label. For postage-not-paid Australia Post packaging, select the matching Australia Post packaging option. For your own non-prepaid packaging, choose own packaging and enter the actual packed weight and dimensions. If reused packaging has old labels or markings, confirm that it is acceptable before lodging it.
