We found no Express selector in the Australian Depop new-listing web form checked on 4 November 2026. It offered Small, Medium and Large packages. An older listing in the same shop still had a manual postage-price field, allowing the seller to arrange tracked delivery separately.
That distinction matters when a buyer asks, “Can you send this Express?” Check the listing or order’s shipping method before agreeing.
What can you choose before and after a sale?
| Situation | What we verified | What it means for Express |
|---|---|---|
| Preparing a new Australian listing | The web form offered three package sizes and no Express selector | We could not select Express in this form |
| Opening an older manual-shipping listing | The edit form retained a seller-set shipping price and instructions to arrange tracked delivery | Quote Express separately before promising it; opening this form did not require saving changes |
| Fulfilling a Depop Shipping sale | Depop’s published policy requires its generated label | We found no documented Express upgrade; ask Depop before substituting postage |
| Fulfilling a manual-shipping sale | Depop’s guide requires the seller to arrange postage and add tracking; a legacy sold receipt we inspected showed manual shipping | Arrange the agreed tracked service, which can be Express Post where suitable |
The first two rows are live interface observations. The after-sale instructions come from Depop’s current guidance. We did not test a managed-shipping purchase or an after-sale upgrade button.
Depop’s Australian shipping guide says new listings use Depop Shipping once the account is included in the rollout, while existing listings remain under Other. The rollout explainer covers why both methods can appear in one shop.
Small, Medium and Large describe the parcel choice
The checked form’s package menu described suitable items: lighter clothing and accessories, heavier garments, then footwear and coats. It did not present these as delivery-speed upgrades. Do not choose Large expecting faster delivery.
A read-only check of the same account’s Australian shipping catalogue returned those three tiers under Australia Post, without a separately named Express option. Its technical handover value was DROP_OFF; that describes how a parcel is handed over, and does not establish its delivery speed.
Our Depop shipping price table records the observed charges. Those prices are not quotes for independently purchased Express Post.
Can you upgrade a Depop label after the buyer pays?
We could not verify an authorised Express upgrade. Depop’s Australian shipping policy requires dispatch to the buyer’s recorded address using the prepaid label generated through Depop.
Its seller protection rules say substituting another shipping method makes the sale ineligible for protection and can result in automatic cancellation and a refund. Buying an Express label yourself is therefore not a verified upgrade procedure.
If a buyer requests urgent delivery after paying:
- Open the order and check whether Depop supplied the label.
- Explain the shipping method and your realistic dispatch time through Depop messages.
- If that service cannot meet their needs, contact Depop through the order-help process before changing the fulfilment arrangement.
Do not promise that cancelling and creating a fresh listing will unlock manual Express postage: new listings are subject to the rollout rules too.
Can older manual-shipping listings still offer Express?
Yes, if the actual listing and sale still require seller-arranged postage. In the older listing form we inspected, the seller could set a postage charge and was instructed to use a tracked method after selling. Australia Post offers Express Post with tracking.
Before the buyer purchases, pack and measure the item, obtain a current quote and make the intended service clear. The manual form we checked had one domestic postage-price field; we did not find a separate buyer-selectable Express add-on there.
For an already-paid manual order, confirm what you can provide before dispatch. Do not assume you can amend the amount collected after checkout. Use the receipt’s delivery address, retain proof of lodgement and enter the correct tracking number. Our Australian shipping walkthrough explains manual fulfilment.
Buying Express independently does not make the order eligible for Depop’s label-based seller protection programme.
Does Express mean next-day delivery before Christmas?
It depends on the route and lodgement conditions. Australia Post’s next-business-day guarantee applies within its eligible network when service conditions are met. Outside that network, Express does not carry the same next-day promise. Check the current Express Post network and delivery conditions for the actual journey before promising a date.
Allow for your packing and dispatch time as well as transit. “I can lodge it tomorrow” is a different commitment from “It will arrive tomorrow.”
Selling on both eBay and Depop?
Listalong helps you reuse supported listing details between the two marketplaces. Review the shipping options for each destination marketplace before publishing the item.

How we checked
On 4 November 2026, we inspected a connected Australian seller account’s new-listing web form and package menu, opened an older manual listing without saving changes, and reviewed a shipped manual-order receipt. A read-only shipping catalogue request returned three Australia Post parcel tiers with no separately named Express option.
We also reviewed the official Depop and Australia Post sources linked above. We did not inspect the mobile apps or a Depop-label order awaiting dispatch, buy postage, create a test sale or test delivery speed. These findings describe the checked account and published rules, rather than every account or future interface.
