There’s no single fastest way to list on eBay. The eBay app is quickest for photographing and listing one item on the spot. Seller Hub on a computer is quicker for finishing, checking and managing many listings, especially if you use templates and drafts. Most busy sellers use both.

This guide compares eBay Australia’s listing tools as they stand on 31 October 2026, including which features need a Pro plan.

The eBay app: fastest from camera to listing

The app’s strength is that the camera is right there. You can photograph an item, fill in the core details and publish without moving to a computer. eBay Australia describes the quick listing tool as giving casual sellers “the core features you need to start selling”.

Depending on your account, the app may also suggest item details or description wording with AI. Our guide to eBay’s AI listing tools explains what to check before accepting them.

Where the app slows down:

  • typing long descriptions and measurements on a phone keyboard;
  • comparing several listings or drafts side by side;
  • researching sold prices while filling in a listing.

Seller Hub: faster for many listings

Seller Hub is eBay’s dashboard for listings, orders and performance. eBay Australia says it’s free to use, but you need to have had at least one sale first.

Features that save time when you list regularly:

  • Drafts. Seller Hub’s single and bulk business tools hold up to 5,000 drafts, compared with 250 in the quick listing tool and app. Drafts expire 75 days after they were last edited.
  • Listing templates. You can create reusable listing templates, up to 50, so similar items start pre-filled.
  • The advanced listing tool, available to all Seller Hub users, for more control over each listing.

What needs a Pro plan

Several of the biggest time-savers are restricted to Pro sellers on eBay Australia:

For most resellers the fastest combination is photograph and start drafts on the phone, then finish and publish in batches. Our batch listing workflow sets out the stages.

Where Listalong Snap fits

Listalong Snap is a phone app we are building to make the phone stage do more of the work. You photograph a whole batch, tapping Next item between items, and Snap prepares draft titles, descriptions and supported item specifics from your photos and notes. You review each draft on the phone, choose the price and publish to eBay one at a time or as a whole batch, without needing Seller Hub’s Pro bulk tools.

Snap is in private iPhone testing, with Android on the way. Sign up for launch updates to hear when it’s available.

Frequently asked questions

Is Seller Hub free on eBay Australia?

Yes. eBay Australia says Seller Hub is free to use, but you need to have had at least one sale before you can use it. Some features, including the Reports tab and bulk listing tools, are only available to Pro sellers.

Can I bulk list on eBay Australia without a Pro plan?

eBay Australia’s bulk listings page says all of its bulk listing tools, including Seller Hub Reports uploads and the tool for finishing multiple drafts, are only available to Pro sellers. Without Pro, you can still save drafts, copy listings and use up to 50 listing templates.

Is it better to list on the eBay app or on a computer?

Use the app to photograph and start drafts, because the camera is there. Use Seller Hub on a computer for longer descriptions, item specifics and checking several drafts at once. Many sellers combine both.
