You can prepare listings for the same available garment on Depop and Facebook Marketplace, provided each marketplace permits the item and your accounts can sell it. The useful part is reaching buyers through another offer; the work is keeping one physical item available in the right places.

Listalong now crosslists existing Depop stock to Facebook Marketplace and supports linked availability updates through its browser connector. That helps you reuse your photographs and item details while managing what happens when a local buyer reserves the garment or a Depop order arrives.

Treat each garment as one item with connected adverts. A Facebook enquiry, an agreed pickup hold and a completed sale are different events, and each needs a clear next action.

Start with one accurate Depop stock record

Choose a garment you can locate and identify. Match the labelled size, measurements, photographs and condition to the physical item. Give it a private stock reference that stays the same across its records.

For example, “JACKET-018” might identify one size 12 denim jacket with a small cuff mark. Its Depop title and Facebook title can differ, but the stock reference and condition disclosure should still point to that exact jacket.

Use the Depop to Facebook crosslisting steps to publish the additional offer. The current Listalong Facebook workflow supports Australian-dollar, single-item listings. Check the resulting Facebook advert and its link before relying on connected stock updates.

Make a clear offer on each marketplace

Keep the garment facts consistent. Review the price and fulfilment terms separately.

A Depop jacket listed with postage included is a different offer from a Facebook jacket advertised for collection. Remove any copied shipping promise that does not apply, state the collection area and check the destination price. Facebook uses whole-dollar prices in Listalong’s current workflow.

Keep Depop order communication and fulfilment in the appropriate Depop workflow. Facebook messages and pickup arrangements stay in Facebook. Crosslisting does not combine those conversations into one buyer thread.

Follow the jacket from enquiry to pickup

Suppose the jacket is advertised on both marketplaces. A Facebook buyer messages, “Could I pick this up tomorrow?” You still need to agree whether you are holding it and what the collection window is.

A message by itself is not evidence that the Depop listing has ended. Record the agreement, then manage availability deliberately.

With the Listalong Connector connected, marking the correctly linked Facebook jacket pending ends its matching Depop and eBay listings. Pending is not recorded as a sale. Confirm the update has completed before treating the jacket as reserved.

When the buyer completes the purchase, mark the Facebook item sold and check the stock record. Keep the distinction between the reservation and the completed transaction so a hold does not become a sale in your records before it happens.

Know what changes if the order happens on Depop first

If the jacket sells on Depop first, fulfil that order through the appropriate Depop process. For correctly linked stock, Listalong can mark the Facebook advert sold through its running connector.

Check the Facebook result. A separate advert you created earlier and never connected should not be assumed to update with the linked one. Search your records for duplicates if the garment still appears available elsewhere.

If there is an unfinished Facebook conversation, use Facebook to tell that buyer the item is no longer available. Keep your stock record and buyer commitments aligned with the completed order.

Keep the connector available when stock changes

Facebook publishing and status syncing require the Listalong Connector in Chrome or Edge. Keep your computer on, browser open and Facebook signed in. Confirm the Facebook account name when connecting, and reconnect if the account changes.

If the computer is off or Facebook needs reconnection, inspect the other adverts directly when you commit an item to a buyer. Do not assume an update has completed merely because you expect it to sync.

Restore availability carefully after a missed pickup

If the buyer does not collect, confirm that the agreed hold has ended and that you still have the garment. Check for any completed order elsewhere and inspect its condition before offering it again.

Marking the linked Facebook item available triggers a Listalong reminder to relist elsewhere. It does not automatically restore the Depop or eBay listings ended during the hold. Review those records and relist deliberately, checking for existing adverts before making another copy.

The pending and sold guide covers the stock states in more detail. For collection wording, use the Facebook pickup message templates.

Finish with a short stock check

Keep completed sales and open reservations separate. For each one, confirm the physical garment, its stock reference, the linked listing URLs and any action still waiting to finish.

Once that routine works for one item, the bulk Depop crosslisting checklist helps you prepare more garments without losing the item-level checks. See Listalong’s Facebook crosslisting setup to connect the workflow.

Frequently asked questions

Can I advertise the same clothes on Depop and Facebook Marketplace?

You can prepare offers for the same available garments where each marketplace permits them and your accounts can sell them. Keep each physical item connected to its listing records and manage availability when it is reserved or sold. One garment cannot fulfil two orders.

What happens to my Depop listing when I mark Facebook pending?

With the Listalong Connector connected, marking a correctly linked Facebook item pending ends its matching Depop and eBay listings. Pending is not recorded as a sale. Check that the availability update completes before treating the item as reserved.

Does a Depop sale update my Facebook listing?

For correctly linked stock, Listalong can mark the Facebook listing sold after a Depop or eBay sale through its running connector. Keep your computer on, Chrome or Edge open and Facebook signed in. A separate, unlinked Facebook advert should not be assumed to update.
